Two of our thesis topics have been "promoted" to paid internship topics. The first one is related to accelerating a very compute- and data-intensive image-processing algorithm, currently implemented in Matlab. The algorithm performs tracking of mouse whiskers in mice used in behavioral experiments within the Neuroscience Department.

The second internship is related to closing the loop through FPGA implementation of electrophysiology experiments in mice. The goal is to achieve real time control.
